Donald Trump spends his time off court hearings efficiently as he attended the National Rifle Association’s convention on Saturday.
Before the NRA gathering, Trump went golfing with another National Football League legend, Tony Romo.
Romo is making a name in golfing after he retired from the NFL, where he previously played quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys.
“I played golf today with a really good golfer: Tony Romo. Do you know Tony Romo?” Trump asked members of the NRA.
“He may be a better golfer than a football player. I don’t know,” he quipped.
In his address at the NRA convention, Trump emphasized that American’s Second Amendment rights suffered a massive blow amidst the weak leadership of President Joe Biden.
“Our Second Amendment is under siege. Our Constitution is being run through the shredder. Our borders are being obliterated,” Trump told convention delegates.
“It’s time for a president who will replace weakness with strength, turn poverty to prosperity, and vanquish Joe Biden’s corrupt tyranny with a great restoration of American freedom.”
He then called on the people to secure a better future through voting. Using his popular line in his former television show, The Apprentice, he said: “To achieve the future you have to march into the voter booth and tell crooked Joe Biden, ‘Joe, you’re doing a horrible job. You’re a horrible president.’”
“Like Apprentice, Joe you’re fired. Get out of here, Joe.”
The former president also reiterated his goal to conduct the biggest immigration crackdown once reelected.
“It will be a big one,” he pledged.
Trump also expressed his plan to support the advancement of the Texas energy industry, which went through huge losses recently because of Biden’s so-called climate agenda.
He remarked, “Drill baby, drill!”
Before Trump’s speech, Team Trump also launched the Gun Owners for Trump Coalition, which was led by “over 50 Olympic athletes, firearm industry leaders and Second Amendment advocates.”
The Republican presidential presumptive nominee also took the time to criticize his bogus New York trial. Lawyers for Trump will continue cross-examining Michael Cohen on Monday.
“They want to take away my rights worse than Alphonse Capone,” Trump thundered.
Among the attendees were Texan government officials and state Reps. Pat Fallon (R-Serman) and Ronny Jackson (R-Amarillo).
Texas Republican House candidate David Covey is also present.
The former president also praised Governor Greg Abbott for protecting the southern border.
“He’s a hot politician,” Trump described Abbott.
“You know why he’s hot? He’s doing a great job.”
