Fulton County DA Fani Willis is now facing yet another challenge in her case against Donald Trump.
Willis would love to get this case into the courtroom, but I am not sure that is going to happen anytime soon.
Reason being, Donald Trump just learned that the courts are approving his appeal to have Willis removed from the case.
Game On
Donald Trump’s initial call to have Willis removed from the case was shot down, but Judge McAfee, who I believe has been very fair to Trump, opened the door for the appeal.
Now the Georgia Appellate Court has ruled that it will take the case, which means more delays and more problems for Willis.
This is a tough case to figure out how it will go because McAfee hinted at wrongdoing, but he was not willing to remove Willis from the case.
McAfee, however, did force Willis to remove Nathan Wade from the case, her former romantic partner, in order for her to stay on the case.
This is and always has been about Trump getting the case delayed by the court so that it would not impact the election.
And so far, Trump’s legal team has been masterful at doing this.
Both Jack Smith cases now appear destined to be delayed until after the election, and with this appeal now live, it would seem that Fani Willis is about to suffer the same fate.
It only being less than six months until election day, I would imagine any judge, friend or foe, would be weary of starting a trial within two months of election day.
So, as of now, all Trump needs to do is beat the Bragg case and he could wind up being scot-free if he wins the election.
