WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has dealt with his share of controversies inside and outside the ring.
Now he waded into one of the biggest upcoming political battles in the country.
And wrestling legend Ric Flair issued this shocking endorsement for Florida Governor.
Ric Flair issues an endorsement for the 2026 Florida Governor’s Race
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is term-limited after he won re-election in a landslide victory in the 2022 Midterm Election.
The Sunshine State has undergone a dramatic shift to the Right under his leadership.
And the GOP should enter the 2026 Election as the favorites to retain the Governor’s mansion against the beleaguered Florida Democrats.
Florida Governor has become a plum position and there will be a long line of candidates seeking the GOP nomination.
Representatives Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Byron Donalds (R-FL) have been mentioned as potential GOP candidates.
Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis has even been rumored as a potential candidate.
Professional wrestling legend Ric Flair offered up his 2026 endorsement for Florida Governor on social media.
“Spending Time With My Great Friend Ashley Moody, The Attorney General Of Florida Who I Totally Support Politically. I Think Things Are Okay In Florida. Hoping You Become The Next Governor! Much Respect! WOOOOO,” Flair wrote on social media.
Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody (R) is one of the potential GOP gubernatorial candidates, but she has not signaled her intentions for 2026 yet.
She would start the race with at least one celebrity endorsement if she threw her hat in the ring.
Moody has raised her political profile after a series of high-profile lawsuits against President Joe Biden over the border, environmental regulations, and guns.
Flair is working for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) which is based in Jacksonville.
But he landed himself in the middle of another controversy during a trip to Gainesville, Florida after a run-in at a pizza place.
Ric Flair was caught on video bickering with the staff of a pizza place
Flair was famous for feuds as one of the biggest stars in professional wrestling during the 1980s and 90s.
A dispute broke out after the former wrestler got into an argument with a kitchen manager.
A video of him went viral on social media after he got into a confrontation with a bartender at a Gainesville pizza parlor.
Footage has emerged of the incident where Ric Flair was kicked out of a restaurant.

“I didn’t do anything wrong except spend money and put this place over and bring my family and friends here,” Flair told a bartender. “That is bad for you.”
The bickering went back and forth with the bartender announcing that he had cut-off Flair.
But in classic Ric Flair fashion, he offered a female bartender $1,000 “just to say to him ‘kiss my a**.’”
Flair slammed the restaurant on social media for its service.
“It just escalated, and I was wrong for getting mad, but I kind of felt like I was defending my position,” Flair said on the radio show.
He said that alcohol did not have anything to do with the confrontation because he was drinking Michelob Ultras and “probably” two cocktails.
Ric Flair is still one of the most colorful and flamboyant figures in the professional wrestling business.
