Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo grilled a Republican congressman when discussion of a presidential debate turned into a State of the Union accusation.
Rep. Greg Murphy, R-North Carolina, joined Mornings with Maria Bartiromo to talk about the much-anticipated debates between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump when he turned the topic toward this year’s State of the Union address.
“I’ll just be very plain and simple. I was at the State of the Union address and Joe Biden must have been jacked up on something that day,” Murphy alleged. “I absolutely believe that from a medical viewpoint and have a good bit of knowledge that happened. He can’t stand and he can’t stand under the lights for that long and I don’t think he can keep a concept in his brain that long.”
This shocked even Bartiromo, who dialed in on the “jacked up” comment and requested more details.
“What do you mean when you say he was jacked up at the State of the Union?” she inquired.
“I believe they gave him something to sustain the lights and sustain the vigor that he had. That was not Joe Biden. I was in there. He screamed for two hours,” the Republican lawmaker explained.
He then suggested the two “talk offline” where he would show the Fox host “some evidence” of his claims, appearing to shock Bartiromo who expressed interest in seeing what he had to offer.
“There is no way Joe, he’s 82, there’s a picture taken of him last week on the beach without his makeup on and guess what, he looks like an 82-year-old. You see a surgical scar in the back where he had his facelift you can see that plainly,” Murphy concluded. “He’s being manufactured and puppeteered by the Democratic Party to be president of the United States and I fully believe that has to do, sometimes, with pharmacology.”
Before ending the segment, Bartiromo said he would like to “follow up” on the allegations made by the lawmaker, calling his claims “compelling.”
