At least 11 people, including a teenager, were killed in a spate of weekend shootings from Florida to Massachusetts.
Three people were killed and 15 others were injured in gunfire at a party attended by an estimated 1,000 people in Stockton, Alabama, on Saturday night, Baldwin County Sheriff’s Capt. Andre Reid said in a statement.
Investigators believe there were multiple shooters as violence broke out about 9:30 p.m. on an open field used as an outdoor venue, he said.
No arrests have been made.
Two people were dead following a shooting at an Atlanta nightclub early Sunday. Officers responded to the Elleven45 Lounge at 2110 Peachtree Rd. NW at around 2:28 a.m. and found six people who had been shot, Atlanta police said.
Two of them were pronounced dead at the scene, and two others were taken to a nearby hospital and are expected to survive. {snip}

In Tallahassee, Florida, police found “multiple victims with gunshot wounds” at 1147 Apalachee Parkway at around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Two men were pronounced dead at the scene, according to an update on X.

Elsewhere in Florida at around the same time, Tampa police officers began investigating a shooting in a parking lot in the 500 block of S. Howard Avenue that left three men with gunshot wounds.
All three men were taken to the hospital, where two were pronounced dead. The victims were identified as Kenneth Washington, 28, and Kevon Christmas, 23, Tampa police said. {snip}

A 16-year-old was killed in a shooting at a house party early Sunday in Northborough, Massachusetts, a town about 36 miles east of Boston, authorities said. A 17-year-old shot in the buttocks was among three people injured, hospitalized and released {snip}

On Saturday night, a Euclid, Ohio, police officer was fatally shot after a gunman ambushed him, police said. Officers had responded to a home on the 300 block of East 211th Street following a report of a disturbance before the incident. {snip}
The suspect has been identified as Deshawn Anthony Vaughn, who is still at large, NBC affiliate WKYC of Cleveland reported. Vaughn’s court records show that he has been convicted of felonious assault and having weapons while on disability and that he spent time in an Ohio state prison starting in late 2021. {snip}
