A horrifying video shows a woman allegedly striking a man with her speeding car in Texas before backing up and running him over again. After neighbors came out to aid the man, she allegedly returned, flipped over his body, straddled him and kissed him before stabbing him nine times.
The victim, Steven Anderson, died on scene and the suspect, 20-year-old Karon Fisher, is facing a murder charge. The incident occurred shortly before 8 p.m. May 3 in the 7000 block of Woodridge Square Drive in Houston.
Local ABC affiliate KTRK obtained the video from a neighbor’s Ring camera that’s pointed out toward the driveway and street. Anderson, reportedly walking to get his mail, turns around when he hears a screeching vehicle driving toward him. He tries to get away but cannot. The TV station edited out him getting hit. Then the vehicle stops a few feet from Anderson’s body before reversing and again hitting him before driving away, the video shows.
Next, the video shows neighbors calling 911 and trying to come to Anderson’s aid. One neighbor brings out pillows to lift up his head. Then Fisher returns on foot, stands over Anderson’s body and lowers herself to straddle him before kissing him, slitting his throat and stabbing him nine times, according to Houston police. She then walked away.
Police have not said whether Anderson and Fisher knew each other.
Witnesses gave officers information about Fisher’s whereabouts and cops took her into custody. She allegedly assaulted a staff member at a local hospital on May 4, court records show.
The incident left neighbors stunned.
“It’s very disturbing. I have kids here; they could have been out here playing, and imagine that,” one neighbor told KTRK.
According to records, Fisher had previously been sentenced to five years probation for a 2023 conviction for evading arrest.
Fisher remains at the Harris County Jail on a $2 million bond. Her next court date is scheduled for May 24.
