This week, there was a big event in London to celebrate the anniversary of the Invictus Games.
Harry’s baby celebrated its 10th anniversary, but the Royal family was nowhere to be seen.
Scratch that, actually, as the family was just down the road at a garden party.
Sorry, Harry, Too Busy
The gossip hounds were feasting this week when they found out the Royals would not be showing Harry support by attending the big anniversary event.
But perhaps that has something to do with reports that Meghan Markle was taking a larger role in the Invictus Games celebration.
The games, a multi-sport event for wounded, injured, and sick servicemen and women, is Harry’s baby and legacy event, which was started in 2014.
The anniversary event was held at St. Paul’s Cathedral, where King Chuck and Lady Di were married in 1981.
Chuck has not been seen in public much since he announced his battle with cancer, so his attendance at the event was not necessarily a shock.
It was surprising, however, to hear that Chuck and other senior members of the Royal family were attending a garden party at Buckingham Palace just down the road.
It also had to be considered a slap in the face to Harry that his father would not be able to meet with Harry while he had crossed the pond for his little anniversary party.
Of note is that Prince William and Princess Kate were missing from both events, as William and Kate have taken a step back from public duties while Kate is recovering from her own battle with cancer.
There is clearly a rift among the Royals, and I am not sure this will be put to bed anytime soon.
My guess is that Harry will be more or less estranged until Chuck passes and the crown gets put on William’s head.
