On Wednesday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) took to the floor in the House of Representatives to force a vote on her motion to vacate GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson. The House voted 359 to 43 to table the bill, with 7 voting present.
Greene filed the motion to vacate Johnson over a month ago and took to the floor to force a vote on the proposal. The majority of Democrats and Republicans voted to table the motion.
As she took to the floor on Wednesday, issues she listed as reasons for the attempt to take Johnson out of the position included Ukraine funding, spending by the government, as well as allowing for other bills backed by Democrats to move forward in the House.
