This week, Trump surrogate Laura Loomer dropped what she is calling a “bombshell report” regarding the judge presiding over the Trump hush-money case.
According to Loomer’s report, Lauren Merchan, Judge Merchan’s daughter, has been paid more than $500,000 by Democrats linked to the Soros family.
If this is accurate, it would feed the Trump defense narrative that Judge Merchan should be recused from the case due to a conflict of interest.
The Report
Now, I will hold back on my personal opinion of Laura Loomer because it is not kind.
I have some issues with some claims she made regarding Casey DeSantis, among other things.
That aside, my job here is to report “news” when I find it, so that is what I am doing.
Here is the report that Loomer posted on X…
EXCLUSIVE:
Alex Soros @AlexanderSoros, the son of @georgesoros, who is the Democrat Party’s largest donor,
met with Michigan Governor @GovWhitmer and various Arizona Democrat candidates and politicians this week after Whitmer’s PAC “Fight Like Hell” and the Arizona Democrat… https://t.co/soPrzWFRs8 pic.twitter.com/o1sr1sEsFh— Laura Loomer (@LauraLoomer) May 6, 2024
We already knew that Lauren Merchan worked for Authentic and had a long list of Democratic clients, including Kamala Harris.
What we did not know to this point is the actual amounts of the payments.
If Loomer’s accounting is correct, that would be more than $500,000 that these Democrats, many of them linked to George Soros and his son, Alex.
Alex Soros, by the way, is now dating former Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin, so you can see how this all really starts to stink.
So, we have to start asking if Merchan would make a decision in court that would help or hurt his daughter’s business.
If Lauren Merchan is fundraising and making money off this case, does that present a conflict of interest for Judge Merchan?
As I have noted in other reports, this all looks very good for Donald Trump’s chances of winning an appeal in the case.
I have no idea how this jury will fall, but it being in New York, I do not have high hopes for Trump winning this case upon the issuance of the verdict.
However, as I have stated numerous times, if there was ever a case that was ripe for a win on appeal, this is it.
