District Attorney Fani Willis has finally been backed into a corner she may not be able to get out of.
Willis is being investigated for misusing her funding.
For those who don’t know, Fani Willis is the District Attorney who had an affair with her subordinate and lead prosecutor on the Georgia case against former President Donald Trump.
After the affair was proven to be true, a judge ordered either Willis or Wade to step down from the case against Trump.
The lead prosecutor, Nathan Wade, was the one who stepped down.
In Wade’s letter of resignation, he said that “although the court found that ‘the Defendants failed to meet their burden of providng that the District Attorney acquired an actual conflict of interest,’ I am offering my resignation in the interest of democracy, in dedication to the American public, and to move this case forward as quickly as possible.”
What did Willis have to say about Wade’s resignation?
“I will always remember − and will remind everyone − that you were brave enough to step forward and take on the investigation and prosecution of the allegations that the defendants in this case engaged in a conspiracy to overturn Georgia’s 2020 Presidential Election,” Willis wrote at the time.
Did Willis take accountability for her actions? No.
She has been walking around without any consequences for MONTHS.
That is… until now.
Fani Willis is now being probed by a special Georgia Senate committee over the allegation that Willis misused taxpayer dollars.
All Willis had to say about the new allegation was that it was “really messing up” her “business.”
“They can look all they want. The DA’s office has done everything according to the books,” Willis told a Georgia news outlet.
If the special committee finds Willis guilty, could justice FINALLY be served?
