Donald Trump has directed his acerbic ire toward two of the great capitals of Western Europe, calling Paris and London “not recognizable” and lamenting that Europe has “opened their doors to jihad.”
At a rally in Wisconsin subsequent crackdowns on pro-Palestinian campus protests in Columbia University, Trump lamented that these two great, historic cities in the heart of Western Christendom have fallen to the influence of Islamists.
“We’ve seen what happened when Europe opened their doors to jihad,” the former U.S. president said. “Look at Paris, look at London — they’re no longer recognizable.”
President Trump is right – unchecked mass migration has made European cities like Paris & London look unrecognizable.
Western Christian values are being REPLACED & the Left wants to call you racist for noticing.

Trump confessed that he was “going to get myself into a lot of trouble with the folks in Paris and the folks in London, but you know what, that’s the fact. They are no longer recognizable and we can’t let that happen to our country.”
However, he continued that “we have incredible culture, tradition — nothing wrong with their culture, their tradition — we can’t let that happen here and I’ll never let it happen to the United States of America.”
The history of Islam in Paris traces back to the Middle Ages, with pivotal events such as the Battle of Tours in 732 AD where Frankish leader Charles Martel halted the expansion of Muslim forces into Western Europe. Over centuries, sporadic interactions continued, but the significant increase in the Muslim population in France occurred in the latter half of the 20th century, driven by immigration from former French colonies.
Today, the Muslim community in Paris is predominantly Sunni, with substantial numbers of Shia, Ahmadiyya, and non-denominational Muslims. The rise in religious observance among Muslims in France, including increased mosque attendance and adherence to Ramadan, reflects a deepening of Islamic life in Paris.
Islam’s presence in London, and broadly in the United Kingdom, has deep historical roots, extending back to the Middle Ages when Muslim scholars and traders interacted with the British Isles. The substantial growth of the Muslim population in modern times began with the arrival of lascars (sailors) and soldiers who served in the British Indian Army during the colonial era. The post-World War II era of chaotic decolonization saw significant migration from Commonwealth countries, particularly from South Asia, reshaped the demographic and cultural fabric of London and introducing the often spicy and exotic cuisines. of the Indian subcontinent to the banks of the Thames, whose residents are perhaps better known for their bland culinary preferences. Today, London hosts a diverse Muslim population comprising individuals of South Asian, Arab, Turkish, and numerous other backgrounds.
However, these demographic changes to the heart of the British Empire were not without their critics, among whom perhaps the most emblematic is Enoch Powell, a witty, patrician member of British Parliament whose grave warnings about the consequences of immigration prefigure the nativism which initially made Trump stand out from the crowded 2016 Republican primary field (despite many differences in temperament between Trump and Powell).
Most famously, Powell issued a stark prophecy of unrest and destitution in his 1968 “Rivers of Blood” speech—an address which British nativists claim has proven unfortunately prescient in subsequent decades. Though controversial, the terms of this speech have echoed through British politics ever since. Ironically, in the speech itself, Powell looks upon the United States as an exemplar of the challenges of maintaining a civil multiracial society—a characterization which has been inverted by Trump’s recent remarks.
“A I look ahead, I am filled with foreboding; like the Roman, I seem to see ‘the River Tiber foaming with much blood.’ That tragic and intractable phenomenon which we watch with horror on the other side of the Atlantic but which there is interwoven with the history and existence of the States itself, is coming upon us here by our own volition and our own neglect. Indeed, it has all but come. In numerical terms, it will be of American proportions long before the end of the century,” Powell said.
