The mainstream media’s plunging credibility is reaching freefall speed with the once-venerable New York Times leading the race to the bottom.
No longer a consistently reliable source of honest news, the outlet churns out anti-white “woke” propaganda and serves as an unofficial propaganda arm for the Democratic party, but its latest covering up for Joe Biden’s lies takes its partisanship to a new level.
On Friday, the octogenarian leader appeared on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM radio show and broke out another of his often-told fibs, that he was arrested during the civil rights movement, a tale that hasn’t been found to have any basis in truth.
Biden told the shock jock that he “got arrested standing on the porch with a black family” during a period of desegregating a neighborhood, a whopper that had been previously debunked by PolitiFact and the Washington Post.

Instead of honestly portraying Biden’s lie as what it was to readers, the sad remains of “The Gray Lady” chose to portray it not as the blatant falsehood that it was, but rather as just good ole Joe stretching the truth.
“At another point, Mr. Biden appeared to once again stretch the truth about being arrested at a Delaware desegregation protest as a teenager. There is no evidence that he was ever arrested at a civil-rights protest,” wrote the Times.
The paper’s shameful taking of sides by covering for Biden’s already debunked arrest story instead of calling it what it is – a lie – was blasted by X users led by nationally syndicated radio host and Outkick founder Clay Travis.
“How did @nytimes describe @JoeBiden lying to Howard Stern about being arrested at a civil rights protest? By saying Biden “appeared to once again stretch the truth.” He didn’t “stretch the truth” he lied. Why won’t @nytimes say Biden lied?” Travis asked.

Other reactions are a sign of the paper’s decline with only its readers still viewing it as a credible news source in the age of media lies.
And lies. Don’t forget lies. Lots and lots of lies. https://t.co/ueb0YnTET0

You BABBLED Biden “STRETCHED the TRUTH” that he was arrested in high school protesting desegregation. No, Biden LIED, made up that story & you covered for him.

I won’t hold my breath for the fact checkers on this verbal vomit

Joe didn’t stretch the truth, he told a DOWN RIGHT LIE! https://t.co/AGDQTj590l

One user had a particularly interesting observation of the race-baiter in chief.
Joe has negro issues, all his horror stories revolve around blacks, cannibals ate my uncle & I got arrested for associating with colored people. Joe could use a lot of therapy, his hate had become pervasive. https://t.co/1uyRJOAtkF

Ironically, at the same time that it was running interference for Biden, the Times also strongly criticized him for refusing to take questions from independent reporters – their reporters.
A free and independent press fills a vital role in a democracy. See our statement on @nytimes and our coverage of the president. https://t.co/msymF8x6xa

“Mr. Biden has granted far fewer press conferences and sit-down interviews with independent journalists than virtually all of his predecessors. It is true that The Times has sought an on-the-record interview with Mr. Biden, as it has done with all presidents going back more than a century. If the president chooses not to sit down with The Times because he dislikes our independent coverage, that is his right, and we will continue to cover him fully and fairly either way,” the paper said.
