I cannot stomach Alejandro Mayorkas. He is a liar on a grand scale. IMO his goal is marginalize white Americans into a powerless minority and institutionalize a one-party state.
For three years he sat before committees and testified that the border was secure. It was in control. Then suddenly in an election year the border is suddenly in crisis and of course, it’s Trump’s fault. It had nothing to do with Biden soliciting illegals to invade. It had nothing to do with Biden refusing to secure the border. It had nothing to do with Biden paying NGOs millions of dollars to bring more illegals into the country. Never mind that Biden reversed at least 64 measures Trump had in place to stem illegal immigration.
Never mind all that.
My rant for the day stems from something Mayorkas said in March. Republicans have been rightfully tying Mayorkas to the horrific murder of Laken Riley. Mayorkas has steadfastly denied that either he or Biden are responsible for anything to do with the border but it’s what he said in particular that set me off.
He was being given a chance by Margaret Brennan of Face the Nation to thwart any culpability for the deaths of Americans and crime at the hands of illegals and tried to make a specific point. This is how it went:
When asked Sunday by CBS “Face The Nation” anchor Margaret Brennan if Ibarra should have been deported given his alleged crimes in other states after his release from detainment, Mayorkas said, “First and foremost, an absolute tragedy and our hearts break and our prayers are with the family, number one.”
“Number two and importantly as a prosecutor, having prosecuted violent crime and other crimes for 12 years, one individual is responsible for the murder, and that is the murderer. And we work very closely with state and local law enforcement to ensure that individuals who pose a threat to public safety are indeed our higher priority for detention and removal,” he continued.
Did you catch that?
“…one individual is responsible for the murder, and that is the murderer.”
Yes and no. The no?
One individual is responsible for the murder but that individual should never have allowed into the country. That individual should never have been released for any reason.
The yes?
One individual is responsible for the murder. Unless….
they use a gun to commit a murder.
Then it’s no longer the individual. It’s the gun. The gun did it. The gun is responsible.
Hammers aren’t responsible when used in a murder. Cars are not responsible when used to kill someone.
Only guns are responsible when used to commit murder.
The liberal response to a gun-involved murder is always the same- more gun laws and more restrictions on law abiding gun owners. There is pitifully little effort to confiscate guns from those who illegally possess them and there seems no end to their numbers. They’re mostly seen in inner cities, often brandishing weapons in videos.

Sometimes the system works
But not enough.
It’s time to focus on those who are not legal gun owners. It’s not the gun. It’s the individual. Period. Repeat line. Pause.
End of rant.
