A Hezbollah flag was reportedly spotted this week at Princeton’s pro-Palestine “protest,” prompting widespread condemnation.
On Thursday, former Princeton University student Myles McKnight shared a photo to the social media platform X showing student “protesters” proudly sitting next to the banner of the armed Shi’ite terrorist group Hezbollah.

The photo prompted massive backlash, including from Sen. Ted Cruz, who pithily tweeted the word “Disgraceful” alongside the stunning pic.

Others followed suit with their own commentary.

They can go to Lebanon and fight alongside them if they feel that way

Identify these terrorist supporters, there should be a public database of them

Hezbollah killed 241 US service members in 1983. This is not merely anti-Zionist or antisemitic. It is anti American and over the line.

Students supporting groups with such violent histories raise serious concerns about their understanding of the consequences of their actions.

One of the toughest criticisms of the students came from journalist Nedal Al-Amari.
“The terrorist Hezbollah flag has been raised in American universities,” he tweeted Friday. “Hezbollah terrorists have killed thousands of Syrians and displaced entire cities, some foolish students support this terrorist organization similar to ISIS.”
“Hezbollah is designated as a terrorist organization in several countries around the world, including the United States. Therefore, every student who raises the terrorist Hezbollah flag on university campuses should be expelled. Some people do not respect the laws of the country that has helped them and extended a helping hand to them,” he added.

Princeton is one of several schools where pro-Palestine, Hamas-sympathizing students have been “protesting” and demanding that school officials divest from Israel.
As previously documented, these “protesters” have thus far been seen harassing Jews, intimidating Jews, scaring Jews, spitting at Jews, assaulting Jews, and more.
Some of the chants heard at these “protests” include the following: “Kill all the Jews,” “We want one Arab state,” “From the river to the sea,” “Zionists not allowed here,” and “Go back to Poland.”
“Protesters” have reportedly also called for more Oct. 7th-like terror attacks.
But displaying the Hezbollah flag may have very well been the last straw, as the group is a designated foreign terrorist organization.
“The Hezbollah movement has long been aligned with Iran, and a key part of the informal ‘Axis of Resistance’ grouping fighting against Israel and the U.S. across the Middle East,” according to Newsweek.
“The group has been involved in constant cross-border skirmishes with Israeli forces since Hamas’ October 7 infiltration attack and the subsequent offensive by Israel into the Gaza Strip,” Newsweek notes.

The White House has, for its part, said nothing thus far about the Hezbollah flag spotted at Princeton. To its credit, the administration has at least condemned all the antisemitic chants being heard at Princeton and other schools.
“While every American has the right to peaceful protest, calls for violence and physical intimidation targeting Jewish students and the Jewish community are blatantly Antisemitic, unconscionable, and dangerous – they have absolutely no place on any college campus, or anywhere in the United States of America,” deputy press secretary Andrew Bates said in a statement about a week ago.
However, the condemnation came DAYS after the “protests” erupted and only after massive complaints from Jews nationwide. Some of the “protests” have turned into full-fledged encampments/occupations. But not so at Princeton.
“[A]n attempt to erect tents and start an encampment at Princeton was quickly shut down by the university, and two graduate students were arrested and charged with trespassing,” according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.
