You would think that America’s Secret Service would give our former president the benefit of the doubt, but that doesn’t seem to be so in the case of Donald Trump.
Apparently, the Secret Service is already holding meetings and planning for what to do if former President Donald Trump ends up being held in contempt of court in his criminal hush money trial in front of Judge Juan Merchan.
“We are not yet seeking an incarceratory penalty,” assistant district attorney Chris Conroy said, “But the defendant seems to be angling for that.”
That’s legal mumbo-jumbo that means they don’t think Trump is behaving as he should in the court.
Donald Trump is currently on trial for falsifying business records to hide the reimbursement of a hush money payment made to his then-attorney Michael Cohen for hush money payments made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels.
The payments allegedly happened right before the 2016 presidential election.
