Israel’s former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett warned that if his nation does not continue to fight “radical Islam” by targeting Hamas terrorists, soon the world will see the “zombie murderers” in their own cities.
Speaking with CNN host Erin Burnett, the former PM reacted to reports that President Joe Biden may be making aid to Israel in its war in Gaza conditional, noting that radical terrorists are using the current situation as a “litmus test” to see how strong the opposition is.
“Politico is reporting that Biden is so upset by the issue in Rafah that he may condition military aid to Israel,” Burnett said in Monday’s “OutFront with Erin Burnett,” referring to the report that cited “four U.S. officials with knowledge of internal administration thinking.”
Noting the “extreme strains” in Biden’s relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Politico reported that the president may “consider conditioning military aid to Israel if the country moves forward with a large-scale invasion of Rafah.”
Burnett asked the former Israeli official if he saw this as a “real threat.”
“I hope not because we’re fighting your war, Erin. We’re fighting the war against radical Islam,” Bennett replied.
“Hamas is not about peace, it’s not about the Palestinians, it’s about radical Islam, the forefront of radical Islam, and mark my words, if we are prevented from defeating radical Islam in Gaza, you’re going to meet radical Islam again here in New York, you’re going to meet it in London on the streets, you’re going to meet it across the world,” he warned.
“Every Islamic radical terrorist is looking at what’s going on in Gaza and that’s their litmus test – do we have the resolve? And we knew it’s gonna be tough. We knew that. But you can’t stop in the middle just because it’s tough,” he added.
Bennett then reached back into America’s history to make his point.
“I want to tell you something. When Japan attacked America and killed 2,400 Americans at Pearl Harbor, America took time, took four years,” he said. “Three million Japanese died in war, but you knew that you had to do that.”
“And America did some shameful things, like camps for Japanese people,” Burnett interjected to be sure to adjust the narrative for the left.
“I think that perhaps America was imperfect, but America was darn good in fighting and defeating the total evil that Japan and Nazi Germany presented back then,” Bennett shot back.
“We’re fighting total evil, and we might be imperfect, but we’re doing everyone’s job and the world should back Israel. Otherwise, everyone’s gonna face it. These zombie murderers are gonna come right over here,” he forewarned.
“So what you call ‘zombie murderers,’ obviously others see a different way,” Burnett pushed back. “Maybe not about Hamas specifically, but this is a broader issue.”
“I’m talking about Hamas,” Bennett asserted.
Last month, Bennett wrangled with journalist Piers Morgan over Israel’s continued efforts to eradicate the terrorists, contending that pressure on Israel to agree to a cease-fire is counterproductive.
“We have absolutely no choice here but to win,” he said. “I won’t be reprimanded for defending my children, for defending my nation. I fought in wars. We hate war. Israelis do not like war. We didn’t start this war.”
“How will you know when you’ve beaten Hamas?” Morgan asked.
“When they come out and surrender with white flags or we’ve killed them,” Bennett replied.
