When CNN’s Jake Tapper isn’t ignoring a Democrat president’s obvious cognitive decline so he can profit on it later, he’s completely missing a socialist mayoral candidate’s history of Hamas support.
During an interview with current New York City Mayor Eric Adams, Tapper was surprised to learn that Zorhan Mamdani has a history of praising the terror organization.
Watch:
Jake Tapper to Mayor Adams:
When did [Mamdani] praise Hamas? I don’t recall him ever praising Hamas.
Adams: “There’s several videos, even during his days of being a rap artist, of praising Hamas and other terrorist groups.”

Is this proof that Tapper doesn’t even watch the coverage from his own network? If he did, he would know that just days before, Erin Burnett had spoken to Mamdani about his rap career. While she had (perhaps intentionally) avoided discussing his most famous pro-Hamas song. In it, the mayoral candidate literally sang the praises of The Holy Land Five, who were convicted of funneling millions to Hamas under the guise of helping Palestinians.
Watch:
: In an unearthed rap song, NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani praised five convicted terror funders.
– The five funneled $12M to Hamas
– Mamdani sent his “love” to them
– Track released in 2017, also called to tear down the U.S. border wall pic.twitter.com/6nxRsbn7tv— Canary Mission (@canarymission) June 20, 2025
X users weighed in on Tapper’s apparent ignorance on the subject he was discussing:
“When did [Mamdani] praise Hamas?”
This is an appropriate question for Jake to ask.
“I don’t recall him ever praising Hamas.”
This is not at all appropriate to add after the question.

Jake has access to endless interns to “find” this information, but he “chooses” not to see it and use it

Jake: The Journalist’s Journalist.
Some day, Journalists will need to re-discover Reporting and the whole Seeking Truth thing.
But, it will have to wait for another book deal or three.— Shrike Decil (@Shrike_DeCil) June 30, 2025
You would think that a journalist would spend time researching stuff before an interview.
