Alyssa Farah Griffin revealed the emotional toll it has taken for her to be a “conservative” co-host on “The View.”
The former White House director of strategic communications during President Trump’s first term in office revealed that she’s “cried at this job” during a table discussion with her co-hosts on Wednesday’s show.
Griffin, who turned her back on Trump and often agrees with the left-wing opinions spewed by the women on the daytime talk show, claimed that having a differing opinion on the show has left her stressed.

Sunny Hostin expressed, “I’ve never felt the luxury to be able to cry at work. I just try to get my work done, be as excellent as I can, and go home and chill out,” in reaction to a Vice article about Gen Z coping with job stress.
“I cry at work, but I hide it, my bosses will never know,” Griffin pointed out, eliciting a surprised, “You cry at work?” from Hostin.
“I have cried at this job at least half a dozen times,” Griffin confirmed. “Are you kidding? Have you done this job?”
Joy Behar asked for “one example” of what has made Griffinn cry.
“This is a very hard job to do, and I oftentimes have the only opinion that’s different at a table of five people,” she replied.
Griffin, who replaced Meghan McCain as the token conservative on the show, voted along with her Democrat co-hosts for Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024 and has been an outspoken critic of her former boss since leaving the first Trump administration.
“I would like to state, for the record, this is a great job and every time I’ve cried, Brian gives great hugs,” Griffin told the ladies, referring to the show’s producer, Brian Teta, who was seen on camera for a moment.
“The thing that shocks me is, there is nothing that people should be able to do to you to make you cry,” Whoopi Goldberg told Griffin. “Let us support you, because nobody should be crying at this job. Nobody.”
While Griffin’s co-hosts may have sympathized with her emotional stress, social media users were not buying it.

“But the money is too good for me to give it up, so I continue to sell my soul…” is what she meant.

You’re there to be the punching bag…get over it and cash your check. You knew what you signed up for…I sincerely doubt you shed a single tear about it.
