A video of a California dad is going viral after he tearfully explained how his daughter pulled out of a race because she was forced to compete against a boy.
He swiftly received praise from other users on X following the circulated remarks.
“My daughter didn’t run her favorite sport yesterday because a guy came in and he’s dominating,” the father said. “She has 13 CIF (California Interscholastic Federation) patches and didn’t run because we’re allowing this to come into our schools and take away opportunities from our girls.”
“I just – I’m not a cryer – I’m just angry,” he added. “And I’m frustrated why we let an average male athlete – a biological male can come in and be a top female.”
“You can take the times I ran my freshman year, I would’ve won the state of California 35 times in a row, that’s the difference between a male and a female. But we continue to allow this,” the father continued.
“These girls are discouraged, they feel hopeless, and they’re quitting. I just – we need to make it stop! I’m done! I’m done! I’m so done with it … stop taking things away from our little girls!” he pleaded.
An account called mello_ello shared another video of Women Are Real’s Co-Founder speaking directly to the board of CIF.
“How can you ignore them (girls), silence them and prop up confused boys over them?” she questioned.
Resist The Mainstream reported earlier this week on five West Virginia middle school girls who refused to play against a transgender athlete in a shot put competition.
The transgender 13-year-old Becky Pepper-Jackson took part in the Harris County Middle School Track and Field Championship last Thursday, winning the event by more than three feet.
Riley Gaines applauded the girls who refused to compete, writing on X, “FIVE middle school female athletes in West Virginia refuse to throw shot put against male, Becky Pepper-Jackson.”
“This comes just 2 days after the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals blocked the WV law that says you must compete in the category that matches your sex,” she added. “ … Enough is enough. The tide is turning!”
Betsy DeVos, who served as Education Secretary under the Trump administration, expressed her frustration with boys competing in girls’ sports earlier this month after the Biden administration gutted the former president’s Title IX rules.
DeVos, angered by the changes which effectively reversed much of the work she pursued during her tenure, took to X to blast the administration.
“Today the @JoeBiden administration finalized its radical re-write of #TitleIX,” she wrote. “I never thought I’d see the day where Title IX would be used to harm women, but sadly, that day has come.”
“This regulation is an assault on women and girls. It makes it a federal requirement that boys be allowed in girls bathrooms in elementary schools,” she said in another part of her X thread.
“Importantly, this regulation also seeks to u-turn to the bad old days where sexual misconduct was sent to campus kangaroo courts, not resolved in a way that actually sought justice,” she added in a different post.
