Now, we know you probably didn’t have cannibals eating the president’s uncle on your 2024 bingo card, but according to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, it’s no joking matter.
Fox News’s Peter Doocy questioned Jean-Pierre on Friday about President Biden’s account of Uncle Bosie’s demise.
As BizPac Review reported, the president was visiting with the United Steelworkers Union in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Speaking to reporters at the airport, Biden mentioned a Scranton war memorial that honored, among other World War II veterans, the name of his uncle, Ambrose J. Finnegan.

“Ambrose Finnegan — we called him ‘Uncle Bosie’ — he — he was shot down,” Biden explained. “He was Army Air Corps before there was an Air Force. He flew single-engine planes, reconnaissance flights over New Guinea. He had volunteered because someone couldn’t make it. He got shot down in an area where there were a lot of cannibals in New Guinea at the time.”
“They never recovered his body,” Biden said.
The Pentagon’s Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency seemingly contradicts the president’s tale.
“On May 14, 1944, an A-20 havoc (serial number 42-86768), with a crew of three and one passenger, departed Momote Airfield, Los Negros Island, for a courier flight to Nadzab Airfield, New Guinea,” according to the military’s website. “For unknown reasons, this plane was forced to ditch in the ocean off the north coast of New Guinea. Both engines failed at low altitude, and the aircraft’s nose hit the water hard. Three men failed to emerge from the sinking wreck and were lost in the crash. One crew member survived and was rescued by a passing barge. An aerial search the next day found no trace of the missing aircraft or the lost crew members.”
“Why is President Biden saying that his Uncle Bosie was eaten by cannibals?” Fox News’s Peter Doocy asked Jean-Pierre.
Well, it certainly isn’t because he’s got dementia. That’s for sure.
What it was, Jean-Pierre explained, was a “symbolic” moment, and it was “emotional,” so don’t even think of laughing.
“The president had an emotional and I think a symbolic moment,” Jean-Pierre said. “He had an opportunity as president to honor his uncle’s service in uniform. He had an opportunity to be there as president to speak to the bravery of his uncle and not just his uncle, but many U.S. service members.”
Doocy: “Why is President Biden saying that his Uncle Bosie was eaten by cannibals?”
DEI HIRE: “I don’t have much to say beyond what I said to some of your colleagues…the President had an emotional and I think a symbolic moment.”
In other words, he was fucking lying. pic.twitter.com/aMEAtaXfFz

Doocy pressed on, noting that there is “no evidence” of the president’s claim.
“Why is he saying his uncle was eaten by cannibals,” he asked again. “That’s a bad way to go.”
“He lost his life,” Jean-Pierre told Doocy. “We should not make jokes about this.”
HOLY SMOKES.
Pete Doocy just pressed KJP on Biden claiming his uncle was eaten by cannibals…
She then accuses him of making “jokes”.
Last time I checked BIDEN SAID IT. NOT Pete doocy!!!

She accused Doocy of going for “a laugh” when he repeated what the president said.
“He takes this very seriously,” Jean-Pierre scolded Doocy. “His uncle, who served and protected this country, lost his life serving. And that should matter.”
The president, KJP said, “lifts up our U.S. troops, our American veterans every day.”
Unlike former President Donald Trump, whom she insisted — knowing, one must presume, that it’s a debunked lie — “doesn’t honor that.”
According to Megyn Kelly, Jean-Pierre couldn’t give Doocy a straight answer.
“She won’t answer,” Kelly wrote on X. “[Biden] lied about the cannibals. About the single engine plane. About it being shot down.”
“She can’t deal with the fact that he lied so she simply deflects,” Kelly stated. “What else can she do?”
