It is Joe Biden’s world, folks… we are just living in it.
Joe’s world is loosely based on fact, with some creative, off-the-cuff details that are always filled in by Joe.
The latest is the tale of his uncle, who died during WWII.
Eaten by Cannibals
Joe Biden was in Pittsburgh talking to union workers this week when the latest tale was told.
Biden was telling the crowd about his missing uncle, Ambrose Finnegan, who served in World War II.
Finnegan was on a place that went down near New Guinea.
Biden told the story, “Ambrose Finnegan — we called him ‘Uncle Bosie’ — he — he was shot down. He was Army Air Corps before there was an Air Force. He flew single-engine planes, reconnaissance flights over New Guinea.
“He had volunteered because someone couldn’t make it. He got shot down in an area where there were a lot of cannibals in New Guinea at the time.
“They never recovered his body. But the government went back, when I went down there, and they checked and found some parts of the plane and the like.”
Biden later added, “And what I was thinking about when I was standing [where Finnegan was memorialized] was when Trump refused to go up to the memorial for veterans in Paris, and he said they were a bunch of ‘suckers’ and ‘losers.'”
Basically, other than the plane going down, everything that Biden said is a lie.
According to the Department of Defense’s Prisoner of War/Missing In Action Accounting Agency, a Douglas A-20 Havoc medium bomber “was forced to ditch off the north coast” for “unknown reasons.”
So, the plane was not shot down, but likely had some type of mechanical issue, and the passengers and crew were surely not eaten by cannibals.
The AP reported that the government “does not attribute Finnegan’s death to hostile action or indicate cannibals were any factor.”
As far as Joe’s accusation against Trump, that little story was debunked a long time ago, almost immediately after it was published.
Snopes reported that there was no “documentation, such as transcripts or presidential notes” to ever suggest that Trump called our fallen “suckers” and “losers.”
That was also confirmed by Trump’s former National Security Adviser John Bolton, who now despises Trump, as well as former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
Both men, who were in the room when Trump allegedly made those comments, have stated that the claim made was completely false.
The shame of all this is that Joe Biden can say whatever he wants, and the media buy whatever walk-back the White House issues on the statement.
Compare that to the real-time dissection of every word Trump utters, and you can see why many Americans today do not trust the media.
