Channeling Clint Eastwood, President Joe Biden’s tough guy act earned a quick response from former President Donald Trump and racked up ridicule even faster.
“They needed *five cuts* to piece together a 14-second video!”
Polling data reports and ramped up fundraising efforts appeared to show a concerted effort from the Democratic Party to find a spark of enthusiasm for the highly unfavorable incumbent to whom they hitched their hopes.
Wednesday, that manifested in a liver-spotted gauntlet throw from “Dark Brandon” as he sneered his way through a debate challenge for his GOP rival.
“Donald Trump lost two debates to me in 2020,” contended Biden. “Since then, he hadn’t shown up for debate. Now he’s acting like he wants to debate me again. Well, make my day, pal.”
“I’ll even do it twice. So let’s pick the dates, Donald. I hear you’re free on Wednesdays,” added the incumbent with a dig at his predecessor’s New York City criminal trial schedule.

As might be expected, there is a catch — only Biden-friendly networks can moderate.
The Liberal Washington Post reported, “Biden’s team has requested that only broadcast networks that hosted Republican primary debates in 2016 and Democratic primary debates in 2020 be eligible to host this year’s events. Only four networks — CNN, ABC News, Telemundo and CBS News — hosted debates for both parties during those cycles.”
(NBC News owns Telemundo.)
Within the hour after Biden had advanced the back-and-forth over debating that saw Trump eyeing a head-to-head as soon as June as opposed to the typical September start, the all-but-official Republican nominee fired off with his own statement.
“Crooked Joe Biden is the WORST debater I have ever faced — He can’t put two sentences together!” began the Truth Social post. “Crooked is also the WORST President in the history of the United States, by far.”
“It’s time for a debate so that he can explain to the American People his highly destructive Open Border Policy, new and ridiculous EV Mandates, the allowance of Crushing Inflation, High Taxes, and his really WEAK Foreign Policy, which is allowing the World to ‘Catch on Fire.’ I am Ready and Willing to Debate Crooked Joe at the two proposed times in June and September,” continued Trump. “I would strongly recommend more than two debates and, for excitement purposes, a very large venue, although Biden is supposedly afraid of crowds — That’s only because he doesn’t get them. Just tell me when, I’ll be there. ‘Let’s get ready to Rumble!!!’”
The end goal of driving up donations amid polling even CNN admitted was painting a bleak picture for the president was readily apparent when the follow-up post from the campaign linked to a contribution page and encouraged supporters “Pitch in” after claiming, “When I get up on stage, it’ll be me and this grassroots team versus Donald Trump and his MAGA minions. It will be democracy versus authoritarianism. Revenge and retribution versus a vision for our future.”
Reactions to the bite-sized challenge suggested a lacking confidence in Biden’s ability to even make it through a single debate with Trump after he appeared to struggle to get through a pre-recorded message.
“It’s weird with all this great technology we haven’t made animatronics better than this…” suggest podcast host Dave Rubin while columnist Phil Kerpen stated incredulous, “They needed *five cuts* to piece together a 14-second video!”

An “elderly man with a poor memory” acting like a Clint Eastwood wannabe is not a good look.
