A newly leaked video appears to show Hunter Biden, the oft-disappointing son of Joe Biden who has recently become an artist, smoke a bowl of crack cocaine while arguing with his deceased brother’s wife, Hallie Biden, with whom he had a relationship following Beau Biden’s death.
The argument seemed to begin after Hunter expressed outrage that Hallie would call him so soon after the publication of an article by New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd, ostensibly an article from 2015 in which Dowd claimed that Beau begged his father, Joe Biden, to run for President in the 2016 election moments before his death. In the video, reportedly leaked from the infamous Hunter Biden laptop, it appears Hunter told Hallie he was seeking treatment for his drug abuse, when in reality, he appears to be in a hotel room smoking crack.
The video begins with Hallie telling Hunter, “I think we should discuss that while you’re there, yeah,” only for him to immediately respond, “Okay but why did you call me at 9 o’clock in the morning to tell me that, on the morning that the Maureen Dowd article came out–” prompting Hallie to tell Hunter, “I didn’t know about Maureen Dowd” only to be again cut off by the drug addled son of the then-vice president. “Well you did before you started to talking to me,” said Hunter, speaking over Hallie as she said “– that you would attack me, that you would be a bit more humble,” again being cut off by Hunter, “I didn’t attack you.” Hallie attempted to finish her thought, “but I guess I was wrong, and it pissed me off,” only for Hunter to again protest that he did not attack her. Then, Hallie explains that Hunter apparently previously told her, “You said I’m going to use [drugs] against you.” Hunter replied, “No, I said that I don’t want to give you information about this program because I’m afraid that you’ll use it against me as not being enough.” Apparently sensing she was not making progress in the conversation, Hallie said, “I can’t keep talking if we’re going to go around and round in circles,” only to again be interrupted by Hunter, who said, “I’m not arguing Hallie, I’m asking you.”
At this point, Hunter stopped speaking and began to reach for what appears to be a pipe. Hallie pleaded, “I think we should schedule a visit and we’ll talk with a therapist. I ‘m not going to continue to argue and I don’t want to talk and make things worse.” Hunter is then silent for approximately 35 seconds as he lights what appears to be a bowl of crack inside the pipe and inhales deeply. Eventually, Hallie asks, “Hello?” which prompts Hunter to reply “Yeah.”
