1. Cancer rates rising in young people due to ‘accelerated aging,’ new study finds: ‘Highly troubling’:
Fox News – Accelerated aging — when someone’s biological age is greater than their chronological age — could increase the risk of cancer tumors.
That’s according to new research presented this week at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting in San Diego, California.
“Historically, both cancer and aging have been viewed primarily as concerns for older populations,” Ruiyi Tian, MPH, a graduate student at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and one of the study researchers, told Fox News Digital.
“The realization that cancer, and now aging, are becoming significant issues for younger demographics over the past decades was unexpected.”
In the study, diagnoses in patients younger than 55 years old were considered early-onset cancers.
Denny’s Insight: This is extremely concerning; we’re depleting the growth of younger generations in so many ways, and the rise of cancer in younger populations is going to have major ramifications in repopulation.
2. Senate set to sidestep Mayorkas trial:
The Hill – The impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is set to hit a dead end this week as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) prepares to do away with a trial, upsetting Republicans who wanted to highlight the administration’s handling of the border.
House Republicans impeached Mayorkas in mid-February, but the official transmission of the articles has been stuck in limbo while Congress worked to fund the government.
Denny’s Insight: It was nice while it lasted; accountability truly is far gone for the elitists.
3. Judge denies Trump bid to delay New York hush money trial:
Washington Examiner – Former President Donald Trump’s bid to delay his New York hush money trial was denied by a judge.
Trump’s last-minute attempt to delay the trial argued that a fair and impartial jury couldn’t be selected in New York City and so there should be a change in venue. The motion was denied by the New York Appellate Division’s 1st Department.
“Defendant’s application for a stay of trial … pending the determination of defendant’s motion for change of venue, is denied,” Justice Lizbeth Gonzalez ruled Monday.
Trump’s lawyers argued that “polling and quantitative analysis of media coverage shows that a fair and impartial jury cannot be selected right now based on prejudicial pretrial publicity.”
With the denial of the motion, jury selection will begin on April 15.
Denny’s Question: What are your thoughts on the judge’s delay of the trial?
