Country superstar Morgan Wallen came out and made his first public statement on Friday addressing his shocking arrest in Nashville earlier this month.
Wallen was arrested in Nashville for allegedly throwing a chair from the roof of a six-story bar. This led to charges of three counts of reckless endangerment, as well as one count of disorderly conduct, suggesting the incident stemmed from intoxication.
Wallen took to X to say, “I didn’t feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks. I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I’m not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility.“
Wallen acknowledged his bad behavior and has been cooperative with law enforcement throughout the course of the investigation.
He later added, “I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe.”
No doubt fans will appreciate Wallen’s honesty and responsibility following his arrest. It’s rare to see public figures take accountability for their actions that could have real and terrible consequences.
