A filmmaker showed up at the home of Hunter Biden to ask questions arising from emails and texts found on an abandoned laptop that belonged to the president’s scandal-plagued son, including who is the “Big Guy”?
The answer is important since the “Big Guy” was in line to get a 10% cut of the profits from a business deal Hunter Biden had cooking with China, and a business colleague said the “Big Guy” is Joe Biden.
The filmmaker, Phelim McAleer, also wants Hunter Biden to answer questions about his signature on a receipt for the laptop and his apparently false statement on a background check for a weapon, which would be a felony.
PJMedia reported Tuesday McAleer was promoting his new film, “My Son Hunter.” A video shows him approaching Hunter Biden’s Venice, California, home and ringing the doorbell. He’s soon shooed away by Secret Service.
Then he takes to a boat in the adjacent canal and, using a bullhorn, asks the questions.
PJMedia noted Hunter Biden has done many “softball interviews” about his new book.
“Hunter Biden refuses to answer any serious questions about the allegations against him,” McAleer said in a statement on Monday. “Instead, he relies on softball questions and coverups from the mainstream media to carry his lies and the ridiculous claim that he doesn’t remember if the laptop is his.
“It’s funny that someone who claims to forget everything about his scandals has the ability to write a memoir. Hunter may not have answered us today but we will be back and we will have our questions answered,” McAleer added.
When McAleer went to Hunter Biden’s home, a Secret Service agent said: “He’s not gonna take any questions. He’s not going to come down, so … you can stay as long as you want, but he’s not gonna come down and answer any questions.”
McAleer then took to his boat.
Hunter Biden’s new book sold fewer than 11,000 copies in its first week, despite a flood of media promotions.
A poll by TIPP Insights found 68% support the appointment of a special counsel to investigate Hunter Biden’s business deals, which traded off his fathers’ position as vice president.
Hunter Biden announced last December he was under investigation by the Justice Department regarding his taxes.
His lucrative position as a board member of a corrupt Ukrainian firm while his father spearheaded U.S. policy for the country was a focus of the first impeachment of President Trump.
Joe Biden openly boasted of threatening to withhold $1 billion in U.S. aid if Ukraine’s president did not fire the country’s top prosecutor, Victor Shokin, who at the time was investigating Burisma for corruption.
A French website reported Shokin later filed a criminal complaint naming Joe Biden and accusing him of committing a “criminal offense” in his campaign to get Shokin fired.
