This story warms my heart, because it goes against the progressive Woke Supremacy’s narrative. In Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, where protests and violence have been breaking out ever since the accidental police shooting of Daunte Wright, an unsuspecting group of citizens has entered the arena.
A group of mostly black civilians, many armed and wearing body armor, has been acting to safeguard the streets in the evening hours, attempting to establish themselves as an intermediary body between protesters, rabble-rousers, and potential rioters on one side and the police on the other. They call themselves the Minnesota Freedom Fighters, and they describe themselves as an “elite security unit,” as reported by the Associated Press.
On Friday night, most of them didn’t seem to be armed, yet they still carried a militaristic look as they made their presence known. A member of the group said that they are only there to make sure the protests stayed peaceful.
“As protests intensified in the Minneapolis suburb where a police officer fatally shot Daunte Wright, a group of Black men joined the crowd intent on keeping the peace and preventing protests from escalating into violence…
The Black men at the edge of the crowd wear yellow patches on protective vests that identify them as members of the Minnesota Freedom Fighters, a group formed to provide security in Minneapolis’ north side neighborhoods during unrest following the death of George Floyd last year. They are not shy about casting a forceful image — the group’s Facebook page features members posing with assault-style weapons and describes itself as an “elite security unit” — but on Friday the Freedom Fighters didn’t appear to be armed and said they intended only to encourage peaceful protesting.
As several people began to rattle a fence protecting the Brooklyn Center police department, the Freedom Fighters communicated to each other over walkie-talkies. They declined to say how many are in their group.”
I have been waiting for something like this. Police, good or bad, are considered confrontational by protesters on the verge of rioting. White people forming a group for neighborhood and business security certainly won’t be taken seriously in those situations, just think about the group that Kyle Rittenhouse served with last year in Kenosha, Wisconsin. But a group of black men standing up and letting it be known that they are there as peacekeepers will more than likely be taken seriously or at least will lend some calm to the protesters before they decide to go nuts.
One member told the Associated Press that he is a former Marine who talked about the damage and destruction done to local neighborhoods when protests turn ugly, especially when the police arrive on the scene to attempt to bring order.
Here’s how political the jackals in the mainstream news media really are. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel described the militia members in Kenosha as armed vigilantes patrolling the streets of Kenosha.
The AP referred to the militia in Kenosha Rittenhouse worked with as “armed vigilantes” patrolling the city’s streets.
The same Associated Press referred to the Minnesota Freedom Fighters as “a group of Black men… intent on keeping the peace and preventing protests from escalating into violence.”
Isn’t keeping the peace and preventing protests from escalating into violence the same thing they did in Kenosha?
But what did the group Rittenhouse joined claim to be doing when they arrived in Kenosha? The Daily Caller interviewed Rittenhouse in Kenosha at the time, who was standing outside a business with boarded-up windows when he said, “our job is to protect this business.” Rittenhouse then added, “And part of my job is to also help people,” he said. “If there is somebody hurt, I’m running into harm’s way. That’s why I have my rifle — because I can protect myself, obviously. But I also have my med kit.”
Doesn’t it seem like a crime when the same news outlet reports on two different groups that are intent on doing the same things to help innocent people during a turbulent time, and how they shift their reporting because of the color of the skin of the groups involved? That’s not journalism. That’s an agenda for a narrative.
Good job to the men in the Minnesota Freedom Fighters. Stay safe.
