Border Patrol Council President: America no longer controls the border. Now the cartels do.

WASHINGTON, D.C.- On Friday, April 9th, National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd said that the U.S. Border Patrol no longer controls the U.S.-Mexico border, the Mexican cartels do.

In a recent appearance on Fox New’s “America’s Newsroom,” Judd said in a statement:

“I was asked last night who is controlling the border? Is it President Biden? Is it Kamala Harris, who is it? And my answer was, it’s the cartels. The cartels control the borders now. It’s not even the Border Patrol. It’s not even the U.S. government.”

He noted that despite Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas visiting the border on Thursday, April 8th, there is “no sign” of a change that could stop the surge of illegal immigrants crossing the border. Judd said:

“No sign. He has been down to the border a couple of times. I’m gonna remind you that President Biden nor Vice President Kamala Harris have come down to the border. I can tell you that when you see this issue firsthand, you’re more than willing to make changes.”

He added:

“Vice President Pence came to the border, went to the processing facility, saw how it was going, and there were immediate changes that happened right after that visit.”

Judd continued:

“So, we do need to have the people that are making these decisions come down to the border, see exactly what is going on so that hopefully they will go back and say we messed up, we need to go back to what we were doing that solved this issue, that dropped us to 45-year lows in illegal immigration and then we can get a handle on this and go after the cartels and drug smugglers and go after those things that are dangerous to the American public.”

Judd stated that he found it upsetting that some individuals think that because there are so many arrests at the border and so many children in U.S. custody that it shows that border security is working and that Border Patrol agents have all they need to effectively do their job. He said:

“We were never trained to do a humanitarian mission, although we do it well. When we have to, we’ll step up to the plate and we’ll do our jobs. However, we were trained to go after criminal aliens. We were trained to go after cartels. That’s exactly what we want to do. We want to do a law enforcement mission.”

He added:

“We want to protect the American public, but when we get flooded with unaccompanied children and when we get flooded with family units, it pulls our resources out of the field and it creates artificial gaps, which allows the cartels to generate billions of dollars of profit and they’re generating that profit off of our policies and that should upset every single American.”

Judd noted that if the Biden administration did what he has suggested to stop the surge at the. border, the change would be almost “immediate.” He said:

“It’s like a light switch. Once people understand that they’re not going to get released into the United States after they cross our borders illegally, they stop coming. But, if they know that all they have to do is make an illegal entry and they’re just going to get released to Des Moines, Iowa, Chicago, Illinois, Miami, Florida, if they know that they’re going to be released, they’re going to continue to come.”

He added:

“That’s the magnet that was reintroduced when President Biden rescinded the Migrant Protection Protocols. We’ve got to go back to what was working and if we do that, it’s just like a light switch.”

Judd said that migrant children are kept in “deplorable conditions.” He said that it makes him “sick” that under the Trump administration, there were politicians that were yelling and screaming about kids in cages, yet the Biden administration is putting the kids in the same exact facilities and it is “mums the word.” He added:

“They don’t say anything. That lets you know that this is politics. It doesn’t matter how these kids are, what the conditions these kids are under. It’s politics and that’s disgusting.”

According to Fox News, Judd said that in his 24 years of service, he has never seen a daily illegal immigrant surge like this one that is underway. He said that the public should be very concerned and asserted that if the increase continues, the Border Patrol will apprehend more people in 2021 than in any previous year in history.

Report: Border Patrol has arrested more than 4,500 ‘criminal aliens’ since Fiscal Year 2021 began

April 6th, 2021

TEXAS – According to a recent report from Breitbart News, Border Patrol agents have arrested over 4,500 illegal immigrants classified as “criminal aliens” since the onset of the 2021 Fiscal Year for the agency.

While technically everyone who enters the country without inspection can be found guilty of said offense, illegal immigrants classified as “criminal aliens” bear said classification due to hosting serious prior criminal convictions.

With the Border Patrol continuing to meet the increasing demands of migrants traffic this fiscal year, one law enforcement source reportedly told Breitbart Texas that more than 4,500 illegal immigrants with serious criminal backgrounds have been arrested since October 1st, 2020.

For those unaware, the Border Patrol’s fiscal year begins in October.

The Border Patrol does not use the terms “illegal alien” or “illegal immigrant” to identify migrants who have committed separate immigration offenses.

Instead, the term “criminal alien” is only applicable to migrants who have been convicted of state or federal offenses such as murder, rape, sexual assault, burglary, robbery, and various other criminal offenses.

Border Patrol agents were said to have arrested eight people near Mission, Texas on March 19th, 2021. The agents who ran a records check among the group found that one of the Hondurans in the party had already been arrested in 2007 by the Suffolk County Police Department in New York.

The Honduran was reportedly accused of rape, forcible compulsion, and a history of sexual activity with a child. He was given a nine-year prison sentence.

Border Patrol agents working near Falfurrias, Texas, had detained a Mexican national two days earlier, on March 17th, who was reportedly arrested for rape back in 2015 by the Sandy Springs Police Department in Georgia.

In that case, the man was found guilty and sentenced to 20 years in prison, but he only served five years behind bars before getting released.

According to CBP estimates, the number of sex offenders apprehended in southern California is expected to double in Fiscal Year 2021 compared to the previous year. In 2019, the San Diego Sector started keeping records of the number of sex offenders apprehended by the agency each year.

Despite the fact that only a small percentage of those illegally crossing the border have lengthy criminal histories, the source that spoke to Breitbart is reportedly worried that more criminal aliens are avoiding capture.

Reportedly fewer Border Patrol agents are being assigned to regular duty as the agency collectively struggles to process and provide humanitarian aid for the new influx of migrants at the southern border.

Earlier in April, Law Enforcement Today shared a report from Florida where Angel Families spoke alongside Governor Ron DeSantis to call for the Biden administration to start taking a firmer stance against illegal immigrants entering the country.

Here’s that previous report.

_

TITUSVILLE, FL – During a recent press briefing with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, alongside Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey and the parents of two people who were killed by illegal immigrants (known as “angel families”), a collective call was made for the Biden administration to enforce immigration law and to proactively deport illegal immigrants.

The press briefing was reportedly held on March 30th at the American Police Hall of Fame and Museum.

During the briefing, Governor DeSantis took the time to highlight the state of Florida’s proactiveness with regard to addressing the criminal element versus other states that have had a more lackadaisical approach:

“You’re not going to see people…dangerous people released in Florida like you’ve seen in some of these other states where they get rid of bail and they do all this stuff because public safety matters.

“One component of that is making sure people who are in the country illegally and committing crimes are held accountable.”

The Florida governor was extremely critical of the Biden administration’s handling of immigration, especially with respect to illegal immigrants convicted of crimes here stateside:

“Someone may be here illegally, they commit a felony, they get convicted they get sent to state prison. Well, their sentence runs out at some point, and the appropriate thing to do is for the federal authorities to then take custody, and then return them to their home country, and we think that that worked very well for my first two years as governor.”

It was back on February 18th when the Biden administration issued new directives to Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) in terms of the prioritization of deporting illegal immigrants, which effectively has the agency only focused on illegal immigrants who actively pose national security threats or have been convicted of serious crimes like rape and murder.

Governor DeSantis coined this administrative stance as being a sort of tacit acceptance of those illegally present in the country:

“Now though under the Biden administration, they are basically dispensing with this idea of accepting the criminal aliens, they are not honoring ICE detention detainers and they’re halting removals of even criminal aliens.

“We’ve already had in Florida, a handful of criminal aliens that had finished their sentences, and that detainers were removed by the Biden administration.”

Two parents who had lost their sons due to illegal immigrants present within the community also spoke out during the briefing.

Kiyan Michael spoke about her son who was killed in 2007 by an illegal immigrant who had already been deported from the country twice:

“They talk about the separation of children…but real separation is having to go to the cemetery and look at your child. That’s the only way you can visit them. He’ll never come home. Our children are not coming back.

“Our son, Brandon Randolph Michael, 21-years-old and we live in Jacksonville, Florida. So he’s on his lunch break going to cash his paycheck — just like every other kid, young man — engaged to be married, he had his whole life ahead of him when a twice-deported illegal crashed into our son.

“Just weeks prior, he had been stopped by our local law enforcement, they found him to be driving without a driver’s license and they just let him go. They released back into our community.”

Jamiel Shaw Sr. had also lost his 17-year-old son back in 2008, when young Jamiel Shaw Jr. was simply walking home and was gunned down by an illegal immigrant who had just gotten out of jail:

“March 2, 2008, my son was coming home from the mall…and he was murdered.

“The illegal alien that murdered him already had three gun charges, assault with a deadly weapon and he was in jail the day before he murdered my son with assault with a deadly weapon, using a gun, battery on a police officer, and resisting arrest.

“He was only given eight months in the county jail and he was released in four months. The same day he got out, he was in my neighborhood and caught my son and shot him in the head. He shot him in his stomach and while he was on the ground with his hands up in the air…he shot him in his head.”
