Donald Trump, former President of the United States and Republican presidential nominee, praised the efforts of Hungarians in defence of Western civilization, freedom, family, and Judeo-Christian culture in a video message aired at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC Hungary) in Budapest on Friday.
‘It is a great honour for me to speak to so many patriots here in Hungary, who proudly wage their battle on the front lines to save Western civilization. Together, we fight in a colossal struggle to liberate our nations from the grip of evil forces that seek to destroy us. Every day, we fight to preserve our culture, safeguard our sovereignty, protect our way of life, and uphold the enduring values of freedom, family, and belief in Almighty God,’ Donald Trump stated.
He added that as President, he ‘proudly worked together’ with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to defend the values and interests of both the Hungarian and the American nation. ‘We tackled illegal immigration, defended our borders, created jobs, protected our traditions, and upheld our Judeo-Christian values,’ he listed. He expressed hope that as the next President of the United States, he could continue this cooperation with Hungary’s Prime Minister.
‘As long as we represent our vision together, remain faithful to our principles, and fearlessly defend our values, conservatives will prevail in the battle we wage to save our civilization from communists, Marxists, and fascists, and restore the dominance of conservatism and common sense in the world,’
Donald Trump concluded.
