An 18-year-old California man has been jailed on a murder charge after he allegedly shot his stepfather to death Monday morning.
The Chino Police Department said the victim suffered from multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after their arrival at 9:45 a.m.
KTLA identified him as Timothy Matthews, 34. Police arrested Jakari Curry and charged him with Matthews’ death.
“The investigation revealed Curry, who is Matthews’ stepson, was involved in a family dispute with Matthews leading up to the shooting,” police said.
Curry is being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, according to jail records.
