A military-aged migrant has been arrested in the city of Giugliano near Naples on charges of kidnapping, stalking, and raping a 17-year-old girl.
The suspect, a 30-year-old non-EU citizen who resides in Casandrino, was arrested police in Giugliano earlier this week following an ongoing investigation which began in early October, Il Mattino reports.
The young girl, accompanied by her father, told the Carabinieri of Grumo Nevano that she had been forced into the alleged perpetrator’s car with the help of several other assailants who then tied her wrists, drove her to an isolated location, and then raped her.
The 17-year-old victim added that before the kidnapping and rape, the migrant had been stalking and harassing her for about two years.
The story comes just days after four African migrants appeared in court earlier this week, facing charges of voluntary homicide, aggravated sexual violence, and distributing illegal drugs to 16-year-old Desirée Mariottini.
The defendants, Alinno Chima and Mamadou Gara, Yusef Salia, and Brian Minteh are believed to have drugged, beaten, gang-raped, and left Mariottini to die alone in a drug den in Rome.
But even as migrants continue to commit violent sex crimes against young Italian women at staggering rates, Italy’s leftist government continues to import more military-aged migrant males. Earlier in the week, Italy’s government led by Giuseppe Conte allowed two NGO migrant transport vessels to disembark 121 African migrants at its ports in Sicily.
