Illegal Alien Caught With $800K Worth Of Cocaine In North Carolina

JOHNSTON COUNTY, NC (The Daily Record) – A driver stopped in Johnston County on Friday night was reportedly caught with $800,000 worth of cocaine found in a secret compartment.

A Johnston County deputy stopped a vehicle in the westbound lanes of Interstate 40 between Benson and McGee’s Crossroads. During a search of the vehicle, 8 kilos of cocaine were located inside a hidden compartment in the car.

The driver, 35 year-old Jose Luis Carranza of Mexico, was charged with trafficking cocaine. Carranza was confined in the Johnston County Jail under a $700,000 bond.
