TRUMP TWEETS: Calls out Rep. Tlaib after she rejects offer from Israel

President Trump took swipes at “the Squad” in a series of Twitter posts Friday afternoon, after Rep. Rashida Tlaib rejected Israel’s permission to come visit her grandmom.

Israel dealt a blow to Tlaib (Mich.) and Rep. Ilhan Omar (Minn.) on Thursday, notifying them that they were banned from traveling there, due to their support of boycotts against the country. The ban brought their trip, planned for Friday, to a screeching halt.

Tlaib then made a plea to access Israel in order to visit her grandmom, who lives in the West Bank, claiming that this may be the last time she is able to see her grandmom alive.  After signing a letter promising not to promote boycotts against Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government granted permission for her to come to visit her grandmom.

However, Friday morning, Tlaib declared she won’t go “under these oppressive conditions.”

President Trump blasted out the following statement on Twitter Friday afternoon:

Israel was very respectful & nice to Rep. Rashida Tlaib, allowing her permission to visit her “grandmom.” As soon as she was granted permission, she grandstanded & loudly proclaimed she would not visit Israel. Could this possibly have been a setup? Israel acted appropriately!

Rep. Tlaib wrote a letter to Israeli officials desperately wanting to visit her grandmom. Permission was quickly granted, whereupon Tlaib obnoxiously turned the approval down, a complete setup. The only real winner here is Tlaib’s grandmom. She doesn’t have to see her now!

Like it or not, Tlaib and Omar are fast becoming the face of the Democrat Party. Cortez (AOC) is fuming, not happy about this!
