Dem Rep Admits Pelosi Doesn’t Support the Green New Deal & Isn’t Excited About Medicare for All

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) said that Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) did support the Green New Deal and was less than enthusiastic about the House Democrat’s Medicare for All proposal during an interview with FOX Detroit on Tuesday.

FOX Detroit began the segment by highlighting Pelosi’s support for Tlaib, who is a freshman member of Congress.

“You know what she says to me? You have to represent your district. She says that to every new member, represent your district. She has never asked me to back down on any issue,” Tlaib said of her interactions with Pelosi.

“What’s incredible is like, even if she’s not jumping up and down about Medicare for All, we’re still proceeding with Medicare for All,” Talib added. “Is she endorsing Green New Deal? No, but that hasn’t stopped us.”
