Emerging reports out of North Carolina indicated that a U.S. Marshal was killed during an active shooting situation that is still unfolding.
Sources told WSOC that the U.S. Marshal was killed while a warrant was being served in Charlotte. Details are scarce, but the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said “numerous” law enforcement officers have been shot, and “multiple” people have been transported to area hospitals.
According to WSOC, the threat is isolated and residents have been instructed to take shelter as it is still an active shooting.
“He [a neighbor] said there’s a man shooting over there,” a resident told WCNC.
The shooting victims’ conditions have not been disclosed.
