The father of 8-year-old Fletcher, one of the children killed in the Catholic school mass shooting in Minneapolis, spoke publicly for the first time.
He described his son as a boy who loved fishing, cooking, sports, and family. He thanked the heroic children and adults who saved lives and asked the community not for sympathy, but for empathy.
The tragedy claimed the lives of two children and injured 18 others during mass at Annunciation Catholic Church. Authorities are investigating the attack as domestic terrorism and a hate crime targeting Catholics.
