The Gates Foundation told the New York Times that severing connections with the Arabella network was “a business decision that reflects our regular strategic assessments of partnerships and operating models.”
The New York Times’ article on the Arabella network came only hours after NBC News verified that Gates met with Trump at the White House on Tuesday afternoon.

Some non-profits are distancing themselves from the Arabella network in order to maintain Gates support.
Several organizations have begun to depart Arabella’s New Venture Fund (NVF), which serves as a fiscal sponsor for over 170 initiatives and has invested billions of dollars in progressive causes.
While Gates once provided a major portion of NVF money, its contribution in 2023 was only 2%. Still, losing Gates jeopardizes Arabella Network’s influence and financial streams.
