Cracker Barrel became the latest company to touch the stove of the culture war and get burned.
Go woke and go broke is a lesson some companies try to learn the hard way.
And Cracker Barrel waved the white flag of surrender to Trump after this woke insult.
Cracker Barrel CEO Julie Felss Masin led a $700 rebranding effort that began with changing the company’s logo.
Gone was the iconic image with Uncle Hershel sitting in his favor chair leaning against a barrel.
In it’s place was a soulless corporate image that a bunch of so-called “marketing gurus” thought would be more attractive to woke millennials.

The backlash was instantaneous as Americans saw Cracker Barrel as the latest company to eliminate a figure from its logo that the left considered “problematic.”

Erasing so-called “problematic” corporate logos was all the rage in 2020, when iconic company mascots like Aunt Jemima vanished as the woke mind virus swept over America in the summer following the death of George Floyd.
Massin defended the rebrand in an interview with Good Morning America.
“Honestly, the feedback’s been overwhelmingly positive that people like what we’re doing,” Massin stated.
President Trump sounded off and spoke for millions of actual Cracker Barrel customers and warned the company they had a very short period of time to correct this mistake or risk becoming the next Bud Light, a brand that lost billions of dollars because they succumbed to the woke insanity in their marketing.
“Cracker Barrel should go back to the old logo, admit a mistake based on customer response (the ultimate Poll), and manage the company better than ever before. They got a Billion Dollars worth of free publicity if they play their cards right. Very tricky to do, but a great opportunity. Have a major News Conference today. Make Cracker Barrel a WINNER again. Remember, in just a short period of time I made the United States of America the “HOTTEST” Country anywhere in the World. One year ago, it was “DEAD.” Good luck!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
It didn’t take long for Cracker Barrel to take the hint that the vibe shift in America against woke ideology following Trump’s election was real.
Just one day after Massin claimed the feedback to the new logo was positive, the company announced it was listening to the customer and would keep its classic logo featuring Uncle Hershel.
“We thank our guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel. We said we would listen, and we have. Our new logo is going away and our “Old Timer” will remain. At Cracker Barrel, it’s always been – and always will be – about serving up delicious food, warm welcomes, and the kind of country hospitality that feels like family. As a proud American institution, our 70,000 hardworking employees look forward to welcoming you to our table soon,” Cracker Barrel posted on X.
