Meghan Trainor is firing back at critics who say they don’t recognize her after her recent weight loss.
The “Made You Look” singer shared a TikTok this week taking part in the viral stiletto challenge, where participants balance in heels on random objects. Trainor stood on two dumbbells in black workout gear and a high ponytail.
Some fans quickly commented on her appearance. “Dude.. I did not recognize her at first.. What happened!?” one wrote. Another added, “Don’t even recognize her anymore.” A third quipped, “When you used to sing all about that bass and now you’re barely a soprano.”
Trainor responded with a follow-up TikTok, zooming in on her glam look while mouthing the lyrics to Megan Thee Stallion’s “Her.” She captioned the clip, “Glam team really did that.” In the video, she mouthed, “I don’t care if these b—-es don’t like me, ’cause like, I’m pretty as f—.”
Not all the feedback was negative. “Omg you look like sporty Barbie,” one fan wrote, while another said, “People are allowed to change.” Others defended the pop star against what they called “skinny shaming.”
Trainor first revealed her slimmed-down figure in March at the 2025 Billboard Women in Music event, where she admitted to frustration that much of the attention focused on her body. In a social media post afterward, she said she had worked with a dietician, trainer, and used weight-loss medication after her second pregnancy.
“No, I don’t look like I did 10 years ago,” she wrote. “I’ve been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me… and I’m so glad I did because I feel great.”
