A Florida mother finally had enough of the woke indoctrination targeting her child.
She took her fight straight to the top.
And this conservative mom exposed one left-wing teacher’s sick plot against her son that destroyed her career.
Left-wing teacher targets conservative kid for his beliefs
Crystal Marull figured her son would be safe at Gainesville High School.
Boy, was she wrong.
History teacher Lauren Watts turned Marull’s teenager into a target simply because he held conservative values and participated in ROTC.
The systematic harassment started when Watts allowed other students to brand the young man a “Naziphile” and call him a “Hitler sympathizer” – all because he showed interest in World War II history and participated in ROTC.
Watts wasn’t finished with her little game.
In May 2023, she came up with something even nastier during a class “superlatives” activity.
She had the class nominate Marull’s son for “Most Likely to Become a Dictator.”
Then she made his classmates vote on it.
Finally, Watts tried to force the teenager to come to the front of the classroom to accept this humiliating fake award.
The young man had more backbone than his teacher and rightfully refused to participate in this political theater.
School district covers up the abuse for years
Marull immediately contacted the school about this outrageous incident.
Watts sent what can only be described as a pathetic non-apology email to the concerned mother.
“I do apologize that [your son] was offended by the Class Superlative,” Watts wrote. “These were not meant to be offensive.”
Not meant to be offensive?
Calling a conservative teenager a future dictator while allowing classmates to brand him a Nazi lover isn’t offensive – it’s psychological warfare against a minor.
Marull wasn’t buying the hollow apology for a second.
“Earlier in the year you allowed the class to refer to him as a Hitlerphile and now you are letting them label him a dictator,” Marull fired back. “Not only that but you orchestrated it, signed off on it, and promoted it. It’s truly reprehensible.”
Here’s what makes this even more infuriating – Marull reported the incident to School Board Member Kay Abbitt back in May 2023.
The school district did absolutely nothing.
No investigation. No consequences. No accountability.
For two years, they let this woman keep her job while she tormented kids for having conservative parents.
Mom takes her story to the people who actually care
Marull got tired of being ignored by the local school board..
She brought her story to the Florida State Board of Education meeting this week – and the response was immediate and devastating for the guilty parties.
Marull held up the actual “Most Likely to Become a Dictator” certificate during her testimony, exposing the sick plot for everyone to see.
“This school district is toxic for conservative families and you can see exactly why they don’t want to show up to school board meetings and speak out,” Marull declared.
The timing of her revelation couldn’t have been more perfect.
The state education board was already investigating Alachua County Schools for First Amendment violations after they tried to silence conservative parents at school board meetings.
Perfect timing.
The state education board was already looking into Alachua County Schools for trying to shut up conservative parents at school board meetings.
Marull just handed them a smoking gun.
The hammer drops on Lauren Watts
What happened next was beautiful.
Attorney General James Uthmeier fired off a letter to the school district within hours.
“This teacher violated Florida law, the School Board’s policy, and no less than six ethical principles,” Uthmeier wrote. “Her teacher’s certificate must be revoked.”
“Teachers who bully and harass their own students are unworthy of the public trust,” he added.
But that was just the beginning.
Education Commissioner Anastasios Kamoutsas filed a formal complaint with the Education Practices Commission seeking to revoke Watts’ teaching license entirely.
The complaint accuses Watts of “gross immorality” and violating multiple professional conduct rules – including discriminating against students based on political beliefs and exposing students to “unnecessary embarrassment.”
By Thursday afternoon, Watts was suspended and placed on administrative leave while the investigation proceeds.
“I immediately took action to investigate the issue. I found probable cause and will take every necessary action to ensure this teacher never teaches again,” Kamoutsas announced on social media.
The speed of this response shows what happens when conservative parents bypass the local woke establishment and take their complaints directly to state officials who actually care about protecting children.
Think about the contrast here.
The local school district ignored this abuse for two years.
State officials took decisive action in less than 24 hours.
This is exactly why Florida parents need to keep fighting at the state level – because that’s where they’ll find allies willing to hold these woke educators accountable.
Dr. Crystal Marull refused to let a liberal teacher destroy her son’s education and self-esteem.
Her courage in speaking out just saved countless other conservative students from similar persecution.
