A Texas woman has been arrested after allegedly pulling a gun on a man, impersonating a police officer, and threatening him with her dog, claiming he was an illegal immigrant trespassing on her property — but deputies say he was legally parked on a public road the entire time.
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office announced on Facebook Saturday that 58-year-old Alishia Blevins was charged with making a terroristic threat after deputies responded to a 911 call in Kirbyville, Texas.
When officers arrived, they found a man sitting near his vehicle on a county road. According to investigators, Blevins accused the man of being “an illegal immigrant trespassing on her property” and allegedly pulled a handgun on him, forcing him out of his car. Deputies say she demanded his proof of insurance, name, cellphone, and car keys.
The situation escalated further when Blevins allegedly called the man’s wife using his phone and falsely claimed to be a police officer. Deputies also reported that she told the man her German shepherd was a K-9 officer with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and then allegedly placed the dog inside his vehicle, threatening that “the dog would attack” if he tried to leave.
After investigating, authorities determined the man had not been on Blevins’ property at all and was legally parked on a public road. However, the sheriff’s office said immigration authorities were contacted to review the man’s legal status.
Blevins was arrested and booked into the Jasper County Jail on Saturday. In addition to the terroristic threat charge, officials said she could also face charges for impersonating a peace officer.
