A keffiyeh-wearing man was arrested in San Francisco after allegedly threatening to stab Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents as a mob ambushed them.
Adrian Guerrero, who is a US citizen, was arrested after slashing a tire of a government vehicle and threatening to stab a law enforcement officer, Homeland Security (DHS) said in a statement.
He allegedly told officers: ‘I’m going to f**k you up,’ and ‘I’m going to go after your family,’ and ‘I’m going to stab you.’
Officers found a knife and orange goggles on him while arresting him.
He was charged with assault and destruction of federal property.
Guerrero was among the roughly 20 people who were protesting against a targeted immigration raid at 100 Montgomery Street.
Rioters allegedly pepper-sprayed agents and jammed one person’s finger, DHS said.
‘Our brave ICE law enforcement are now facing a 1000% increase in assaults against them as they risk their lives to arrest the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens,’ Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement.
‘These acts of violence are fueled by sanctuary politicians’ rhetoric vilifying our law enforcement. We will not and have not let this violence stop us or slow us down.’
Last week, a Colombian migrant influencer, who documented immigration raids on social media, was arrested by ICE while livestreaming.
Leidy Tatiana Mafla-Martinez was filming inside her Tesla when she was detained by ICE officers in Los Angeles.
She shrieked ‘no, no, no’ repeatedly and cried ‘wait, wait,’ in Spanish as agents ordered her out of the car.
