It was with a heavy heart that I read of the passing of Alex Linder recently. Whether you agreed with him a little, a lot, or not at all, his talent for writing and dissecting the human consciousness and its many lies was evident.
His influence H.L. Mencken would have been proud. For decades, Linder has been a gadfly in the syrup of the modern mythos, the highly-educated and intelligent critic of not just diversity but Abrahamism generally; he spared not the Christian the same treatment he gave Muslims and Jews.
While my own direction lies elsewhere, his work was always a favorite around here for its sparkling humor and fiery insight into the many lies we tell ourselves to get through the night. He inspired many but it is the loss of his unique energy that impoverishes all sectors of the dialogue.
