Gavin Newsom has been searching for an identity for his pursuit of the Presidency in 2028. It appears as though he’s settled on one.

He’s been advocating for violence against Republicans (this one is Obamaesque).

But the rest have a theme. He’s holding press conferences that are looking increasingly familiar

He’s selling merchandise that looks a lot like something you’ve seen before

He took one of the most gerrymandered states and made it even more so, and he boasts how he signed the bill before Texas did it!

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) signed legislation Thursday evening to create new congressional maps designed by the Democrat-dominated legislature to eliminate half of the state’s Republican-held seats.

The so-called “Election Rigging Response Act” consists of bills that were stripped of their existing language, and filled with redistricting language, to evade a state requirement that legislation wait 30 days for approval.

In doing so, Newsom and the Democrats set aside the state’s nominally independent redistricting commission, which was established by the voters in 2008 (and which is gamed by Democrats anyway).

In so doing, he ignored the wishes of the state

The survey, conducted by Politico and the Citrin Center for Public Opinion Research, found that 64 percent of voters favor keeping the commission in place, while just 36 percent support returning map-drawing authority to the legislature. The numbers hold across party lines, with 61 percent of Democrats, 66 percent of Republicans, and 72 percent of independents siding with the commission. The poll of 1,445 registered voters was conducted between July 28 and August 12.

Now he’s conducting his own foreign policy

He’s clearly decided to emulate Donald Trump. He may try but he is nothing more than a cheap copy. And he comes with a truckload of failure baggage:

Ironically, his gerrymandering efforts are likely to lead democrats to ruin. democrat states are pretty much tapped out when it comes to gerrymandering.

It’s said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Bad imitation is different and this one is entirely. Newsom is a slimy, insincere and smarmy politician and person. He is a hypocrite. But I do have a suggestion for a spokesperson for his nascent campaign.
