A woman from Indiana has been arrested for making death threats against President Donald Trump – including a vow to “disembowel him,” Knewz.com can report.
The woman was in D.C for a protest

Nathalie Rose Jones, 50, of Lafayette, Indiana, was arrested in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, August 16, and charged in connection with making a series of threats on social media. In one lengthy Facebook post, she wrote, “I am willing to sacrificially kill this POTUS by disemboweling him and cutting out his trachea with Liz Cheney and all The Affirmation present.” According to the Department of Justice, Jones has been charged with “threatening to take the life of, kidnap, or inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States, and transmitting in interstate commerce communications containing threats to kidnap any person or any threat to injure the person of another.”
Multiple ‘threatening comments’

According to court documents, Jones posted threatening comments multiple times this month, labeling Trump as a terrorist and referring to the president’s administration as a “dictatorship.”She also blamed President Trump for “extreme and unnecessary loss of life in relation to the coronavirus.” Secret Service agents conducted a voluntary interview with Jones, during which she stated the president was a “terrorist” and a “Nazi.” Jones also reportedly confessed to her threats, telling responding agents she had a “bladed object,” she would use to “carry out her mission of killing” the president. She justified that she wanted to “avenge all the lives lost during the COVID-19 pandemic,” which she attributed to President Trump’s administration and its position on vaccinations.
Protecting the president

After taking part in the protest, Jones was interviewed for a second time by Secret Service agents and admitted that she had made threats toward President Trump but denied having any “present desire” to harm him. She was arrested and is awaiting prosecution. Special Agent in Charge Matt McCool of the U.S. Secret Service Washington Field Office said they investigate any threats made against the president.”Protecting the President of the United States is our highest priority, and every potential threat is addressed with the utmost seriousness,” he said. Former Fox News host and current United States Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro tweeted: “Threatening the life of the president is one of the most serious crimes and one that will be met with swift and unwavering prosecution. Make no mistake—justice will be served.”
Who is Nathalie Jones?

According to her official website, Jones is an author who received an MFA in creative writing from Northwestern University. Her publishing credits include PANK Magazine, There Are No Rules and Sailing World. She describes characters in her novels as “more elusive than endearing but persist in rural, communal settings.” According to an official description, “The American denial of failure as a reality permeates her work. The writing explores what is at once ideally American and essentially human. She is especially interested in the areas where these concepts seem at odds. The American ideals of power, success and influence are contrasted with claims on dignity, individuality and humble hope in her characters.”
