At a news conference, Texas state Rep. Lauren Ashley Simmons, representing parts of Houston, joined Planned Parenthood of Illinois interim President and CEO Tonya Tucker to underscore the organization’s efforts to kill more babies.

Tucker noted that Planned Parenthood of Illinois began seeing Texas customers in 2021, following the state’s ban on abortion, stating, “I am so appreciative of Planned Parenthood Illinois for providing the care that women need.”
The gathering comes as Texas continues its fight against abortion, with the state Senate recently voting to stop the distribution of what pro-life advocates call “dangerous abortion pills.”
