Over the weekend, Democrats treated Donald Trump’s attempt at brokering peace between Russia and Ukraine less like a serious effort to stop a bloody war and more like another act in their never- ending political theater against the president.
The meeting between President Donald J. Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin was held at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska on Friday, August 15.
Instead of hailing the meeting between Trump and Putin as a historic move towards possible peace – or heaven forbid, putting pressure on Putin to get serious about negotiations – the anti-American and Trump-deranged Democrats broke out the party horns because Trump didn’t magically snap his fingers and deliver world peace on the spot.
So much for that Nobel Peace Prize – Hillary Clinton promised she’d nominate Trump if he pulled off peace talks. Of course, she had about a zillion conditions to the promise.
Democrats and their leftist warriors on X acted like critics at a Broadway show – obsessed with reviews, not results. To them, Trump’s summit with Putin in Alaska wasn’t about whether it moved the needle toward ceasefire or peace talks. Nope. It was all about how Trump supposedly “failed” in his immediate mission. And since trashing Trump is their full-time occupation, they spent the weekend working overtime trying to outdo each other.
We prayed for peace but instead got praise for Putin.
For the unjustified curtesies extended to him by Trump in Alaska yesterday, the thug should immediately return the tens of thousands of children he kidnapped from Ukraine and stop the raping of women as a weapon of war.

Donald Trump promised to end the war in Ukraine on day one.
Instead.
He pardoned hundreds of violent felons who brutally beat police officers while attacking the Capitol.

Even though Democrats and their media allies weren’t in the negotiating room and have no idea what was actually said between Trump and Putin, they’re posing as experts – claiming Trump is “embracing” and caving to Putin’s demands. In reality, negotiating peace requires hearing both sides’ terms and working to find common ground. That’s exactly what Trump is doing: laying the groundwork for a deal. And apparently, that includes Europeans to have some skin in the game.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with Trump in Washington, D.C. today, joined by European leaders. But instead of cheering the possibility of real peace resulting from the talks, the left seems more focused on trashing Trump and claiming that European leaders are only showing up to Orange Man Bad in his place.
In short, Democrats seem happier with the continuation of another endless war than they are with the possibility of Trump pulling off even a sliver of success. Until then, they’ll keep roasting Trump while Ukrainians keep dying.
