Attorney General Pam Bondi revealed the progress being made in fighting Washington, D.C.’s crime problem.
President Donald Trump is nothing if not ruthlessly efficient when it comes to enacting his agenda, and that was made evident on the streets of the nation’s capital. On Monday, Trump announced the mobilization of the National Guard to help protect the residents of Washington, D.C., and on Friday, Bondi revealed that nearly 200 arrests had already been made.
Look:
189 arrests in D.C. — and counting:

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has also been assisting in the federal takeover of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department. They have been helping to staff city checkpoints and back up street patrols since the Monday announcement.
Alongside the National Guard and ICE, members of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the FBI, and the United States Capitol Police have been spotted in the city.
“Nearly 50 people were arrested on Wednesday night alone, including 29 illegal immigrants,” Fox News reported.
X users reacted to the swift administration of justice:
Thank you Pam for all you are doing to keep us safe.
I appreciate it and thank God for you!— Slow Train Coming (@Danthecandyman) August 15, 2025
Question- will they be kept off the streets, or will activist judges just release them, as they always do?

Thank you. We love visiting our capital city, but it’s become an eyesore as well as unsafe. Will be excited to bring our granddaughter sometime in the near future.

I’m hoping the administration plans to go around to all the troubled cities throughout the United States, and clean them up. Good work on cleaning up D.C. @PamBondi
