Jim Acosta may no longer be CNN’s White House correspondent, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t still posting bombshell scoops.
On Tuesday, he posted photos of the DC National Guard, which was mobilized following President Donald Trump’s vow to crack down on the rampant crime in Washington D.C.
Look:

“Just spotted down on the National Mall… members of the DC National Guard who were deployed by Trump as part of his takeover of the MPD,” he wrote on the post, which had the comments turned off.
X users couldn’t help but mock Acosta, just a little, for his absolute flop of a post.
Glad you’re safe, Jim. That was a close one. https://t.co/q1OJw8Zjo5

Breaking! Jim Acosta was nearly abducted and or disappeared by King Trump’s federal Nazi brown shirt task force. Stay tuned for more of Jim’s bullshit. https://t.co/MA4e17tIja

It’s not after dark.
They aren’t throwing people on the ground.
Nobody’s civil rights are being violated.
What is the point of this post, other than to remind everyone else what a giant retard Jim is? https://t.co/fi9fGQcmdk— Magnus (@JacksonTDawes) August 13, 2025
I notice you weren’t mugged. https://t.co/keOixHum39

One X user pointed out the most obvious thing the pictures show: None of the civilians being photographed appear to even be interested in the uniformed guardsmen, let alone in fear of their lives and safety.
Wow! And look at all those ‘not terrified’ civilians not bothered in the least!
You buffoon. https://t.co/nO2rza1pZw— Mrs. G (@AyearstJan29365) August 13, 2025
On Monday, Trump announced that he would be invoking Section 40 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act, which allows the federal government to establish control over the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department.
“This is Liberation Day in D.C., and we’re gonna take our capital back. We’re taking it back,” he said during his speech. “In addition, I’m deploying the National Guard to help reestablish law and order and safety in Washington, D.C., and they’re gonna be allowed to do their job properly.”
“High profile case of violent crime have recently swept across the nation’s capital, particularly among the district’s youth. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) staffer Edward Coristine, also known as ‘Big Balls,’ intervened in a carjacking of a woman at around 3 a.m. on August 5 and got severely beaten by the suspects,” BizPac Review previously reported.
