It’s probably safe to predict that President Donald J. Trump’s federalization of Washington, D.C. law enforcement will spark more public temper tantrums from leftists, as the inevitable astroturf protests will once again begin to pop up.
Since Trump’s second term began, business has been absolutely booming in the rent-a-mob industry, with one CEO of a company that specializes in supplying crowds telling Fox News Digital that there has been a huge uptick in inquiries for warm bodies in the nation’s capital.
“Right now, D.C. inquiries are up roughly 400 percent compared to the same period in 2024,” Crowds on Demand CEO Adam Swart told the outlet, referring to May to July 2024.

He said that the company always experiences a surge in demand for its services in what he called “high-stakes political moments.”
“A large share are focused on opposing Trump’s policies in Washington and raising alarms about government overreach,” Swart explained. “We’re weighing those offers carefully – because while there’s truth in saying D.C.’s local government has been an abject failure in keeping citizens safe, there’s also a real danger in putting too much power in federal hands. That balance of power matters.”
The CEO also dropped the bombshell that the “vast majority” of people who turn out at Washington, D.C. political or advocacy events are being paid.
“Most people don’t know this, but many protesters are literally on the payroll – Capitol Hill staffers from both parties are often expected to show up at rallies and protests on their own time,” he said. “So yes, most attendees are being paid or are there because it’s part of their job. That doesn’t mean they don’t support the cause – but it does mean these crowds aren’t as ‘organic’ as they appear on TV,” Swart told Fox News Digital.
Swart makes an important point that the media coverage of the protests is grossly misleading with outlets like CNN and others omitting the very important detail that the large crowds that they breathlessly report on are largely fake with Democrat friendly groups and NGOs paying “protesters” to show up, a blatant and ongoing effort to manufacture the false narrative that the majority of Americans oppose Trump and his policies.
“Are you looking to create a buzz anywhere in the United States? At Crowds on Demand, we provide our clients with impactful advocacy campaigns and events. We are best known for organizing passionate demonstrations, rallies, flash-mobs, corporate PR events, and light-hearted events such as paparazzi, brand ambassadors, and PR stunts,” Crowds on Demand states on its website.
While there have yet to be the media-promoted mass protests such as “No Kings” since Trump’s bold move to crack down on D.C. crime, a motley collection of left-wing activists is already appealing to the lunatic fringe to take up pots and pans to create a noisy commotion to express their disapproval over improvements in public safety.

“These people are agitators, they’re paid, they’re professionals, they’re insurrectionists, they’re troublemakers. They’re all of those things. But I believe they’re paid,” Trump said of anti-ICE protesters in Los Angeles earlier this summer.
“While I don’t have direct information that the protesters are being paid, I strongly believe that many of the protesters are being compensated,” Swart explained to Fox News Digital during a June appearance to discuss the LA protests.
“How do I know this? Because when you can gather hundreds of people at the wee hours of the morning or the late hours of the night with zero notice with just a text message within a 10-minute period, that sounds a lot more like a rapid reaction force than a group of passionate demonstrators,” he said.
